Gamma Coronae Borealis is a star system located in the galaxy's Alpha Quadrant, a trinary star consisting of a B type primary, and two associated stars of the A type. The Gamma Coronae Borealis stars could be seen from Sol, 145 light-years distant, in the constellation of Corona Borealis.

This system was in the general vicinity of the Federation's expansion towards the Black Cluster, nearby to Epsilon Boötis, Zeta Aquilae, Berengaria and Starbase 514. (ST reference: Star Charts)
