Ganitriul was a gigantic, sentient computer created by the Eerlikka, natives of the planet Eerlik, on their moon. It was created thousands of years ago with the purpose to control and provide every creature comfort the Eerlikka could want, which it did with great proficiency. Sometime after the Dominion War, Ganitriul was infected by a rebel group of the Pevvni with a malignant program. Ganitriul lost control of most of its operations on Eerlik. It sent out a distress call to the USS da Vinci. A 5-man landing party was sent down. The landing party discovered rebel guards within the complex, but still managed to fix Ganitriul.
