Gann was a male Tellarite in the 24th century. In 2370, as he was approaching puberty, Gann attended lessons in Keiko O'Brien's classroom on Deep Space 9. When Keiko was asking the class about the story behind the Bajoran moon Baraddo, Gann answered stating it came from a Bajoran fairy tale. Keiko was quick to state it came from Bajoran religion, comparing the significance to the Tellarite Scroll of Eternal Feasting. (DS9 novel: Devil in the Sky)
