In the Mirror universe, Kelvar Leonard Garth, better known as Garth of Izar, was the Grand Admiral of the Imperial Starfleet in the mid-23rd century.

Following Spock's successful takeover of the ISS Enterprise in 2267, Garth was one of many officers to send a congratulatory message. The following year, Empress Hoshi Sato III ordered Garth to promote Spock to admiral, in recognition of his actions in the Tellun system, and the capture of a Romulan Bird-of-Prey.

A few months later, Garth led a task force of starships to attempt to ambush the Enterprise and kill Admiral Spock near Elba II. Unfortunately, the attempt was a failure and Garth was replaced by Matthew Decker of the ISS Constellation. (TOS novel: The Sorrows of Empire)
