The Gatekeeper is a gargoyle controlled by a sophisticated electronic equipment located in the complex of the Seekers sect on Frigis. It was considered to have strange, almost telepathic powers. Some say it was holdover Chodak technology but others say that the Lawgiver Avatrunei had something to do with it.

Its role is to jealously guard the Door of Enlightment leading to a Chodak machine room. He asks a series of questions to anyone who wishes to pass it; one who has answered three questions, the fourth and final question would be "Who are you?". He forbids anyone who doesn't answer all appropriately and even would harm with energy beams any who would attempt to pass.
