George Sanders was a male Human in Starfleet in the 24th century. As of 2363 he held the rank of Captain, and was in command of the USS Malinche.

In that year, Sanders and the Malinche accompanied Captain Jean-Luc Picard's task force into Carnelian space in order to stop the ancient Manraloth people from gaining access to their civilization's database, which was stored in the event horizon of a nearby black hole. (TNG novel: The Buried Age)

In 2373, Starfleet Command assigned Sanders to track down Maquis leader Michael Eddington. The Malinche was later attacked and disabled by the Maquis. (DS9 episode: "For the Uniform")

After Sisko had successfully captured Eddington, Sanders volunteered to take him and several other Maquis prisoners to Earth. (DS9 novel: The Badlands, Part IV)
