|Affiliation:||Maquis, Federation, Starfleet|
|Previous Assignment:||Geronimo, Val Jean|
Crewman Gerron Ral was a male Bajoran and a member of Chakotay's Maquis cell in 2371, serving aboard the Geronimo. He was also aboard the Val Jean, the Maquis ship that was drawn into the Delta Quadrant in 2371. He was later integrated into the crew of the USS Voyager. (VOY - The Brave and the Bold, Book Two novella: The Third Artifact)
- NOTE: This character's name is spelled "Jerron" in the VOY novel: Mosaic and "Jarron" in the VOY novel: The Final Fury.
Young and inexperienced, he was reticent, to the point of rudeness, his fellow Maquis resistance fighter Kenneth Dalby was very protective of Gerron during their time on Voyager.
In 2371, he, along with three other former Maquis members, Dalby, Chell and Mariah Henley, underwent additional Starfleet training conducted by Lieutenant Tuvok with the purpose of educating the former Maquis personnel unfamiliar with Starfleet standards, in addition to teaching them discipline.
