Gestalt is a concept held by the Irriol of the planet Lru-Irr, which refers to their empathic connection to all of the animal species that inhabit their world. An Irriol would readily give his or her own life if it benefitted the other life on Lru-Irr. (TTN novel: Orion's Hounds)
