The Gheljiar were the royal family of the Lurian species.
The Gheljiar united the people of Luria thousands of years ago and became the rulers of the Lurian race. (DS9 reference: Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Core Game Book)
In 2374, Hain posed as a member of Lurian Security and told Quark that Morn was the crown prince of the Royal Family of Luria, hoping to misappropriate latinum that Quark had inherited from Morn by claiming it was Lurian property. (DS9 episode: "Who Mourns for Morn?")
