- For other uses, see Gladius class.
The class featured several forward facing protruding elements; a central cone was surrounded by three large arms, and several smaller protrusions. The Gladius-class was armed with both directed energy weapons and missiles
Like its contemporaries, the Centurion-class, Cetratus-class, Patronus-class, and Securis-class, the Gladius-class could, in addition to its standard systems, be armed with the repulsion charge and holo-mines, and could be equipped with a cloaking device and energy flux. Also in common with other classes, the Cetratus-class had at least one escape pod.
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 D-A-C gives no date, but as it features the USS Enterprise it is presumably set after the events of Star Trek, which featured the launch of the Enterprise in 2258.
- ↑ 2.0 2.1 D-A-C includes a feature allowing a player to launch an "escape pod" when their ship is about to be destroyed, permitting them to respawn and continue playing quicker.
- ↑ 3.00 3.01 3.02 3.03 3.04 3.05 3.06 3.07 3.08 3.09 3.10 In D-A-C starship names are selected and allocated at random. The game features eleven Romulan starship names which are assigned randomly to all classes of ships in the game. All Gladius-class names from D-A-C are therefore also known as the names of vessels of the four other Romulan classes in the game.
