In the mirror universe, Colonel Gowron was a male Klingon in the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance. He was a firm opponent to cross-species breeding. As part of this agenda, he sent a Terran slave to attempt an assassination on the life of B'Elanna, the half-Klingon, half-Terran director of Ardana. The slave was unsuccessful, and was killed in turn by B'Elanna's slave Tom Paris. (VOY novel: The Mirror-Scaled Serpent)
