A Gravimetric wave is a formation of gravitons which can be created using a gravimetric pulse.

In 2364 the Tigans fired a gravimetric pulse at the USS Enterprise-D which generated a gravimetric wave which pushed the Enterprise across the galaxy at extreme velocities. The Enterprise was only able to break free by using the slingshot effect. (TNG comic: History Lesson)
