Ha'mara was the Bajoran name for the time that the Emissary of the Prophets was among them that was predicted in several prophecies. (DS9 short story: "Ha'mara")

After 2369, a holiday was celebrated on the anniversary of Benjamin Sisko's arrival on Bajor. Out of gratitude to the Prophets, Bajorans were known to both fast on this day. In Ashalla, a large light show was known to take place though Captain Sisko was not known to attend. (DS9 episode: "Starship Down")

Bajoran schools close during Ha'mara to allow children to celebrate the holiday. (ST - New Worlds, New Civilizations short story: "A Walk in the Path of the Emissary")

Elima Antok, a Cardassian woman, celebrated Ha'mara. Her grandmother was a Bajoran woman. (DS9 novel: Enigma Tales)
