Hardcover is a novel bound within a rigid cover, typically cardboard. Hardback books are often printed on more durable paper and commonly larger than paperbacks.
Most hardcover books come with a decorative dust jacket over a mostly blank cover with an embossed title.
Hardcover books are printed in advance of paperback editions of the book.
