Harlan Ellison (born May 27, 1934) was a Human male science fiction writer who lived during the 20th and 21st centuries.
In 1953, Benny Russell thought to himself that when Roy Ritterhouse fought with his wife, drank and slept on the sofa, his drawings looked like something that "had crawled out of that kid Ellison's mind." (DS9 novelization: Far Beyond the Stars)
- Ellison wrote the TOS episode: "The City on the Edge of Forever", although he was displeased at how Gene Roddenberry and others rewrote it. More recently, Ellison has asked that he be paid for Paramount's use of elements of his work, including the Crucible trilogy of novels. [1]
