On December 27, 2154, his ship approached the Enterprise (NX-01) and he invited Captain Jonathan Archer aboard his vessel, allegedly to smooth relations between the Orion Syndicate and United Earth Starfleet. Harrad-Sar offered Archer a deal: he would give the coordinates of a planet rich in magnesite and Starfleet could construct mining facilities; he would take a 10% share and help establish diplomatic relations between Earth and the Orion Syndicate. Archer accepted after witnessing the Orion slave girls dance.
As a gesture of good will, he gave the three Orion slave girls as a gift to Archer. In reality, the three women plotted to disable and take over the Enterprise using their pheromones and manipulating the crew. The Enterprise's engines were disabled, and Harrad-Sar returned to the ship with a grappler. He revealed that it was Captain Archer he was after, whom the Orion Syndicate wanted dead or alive. Harrad-Sar also claimed that the Orion women were not slaves, but instead that the men were slaves to them. Commanders T'Pol and Tucker, who were not affected by the women, were able to regain control of the Enterprise and defeat Harrad-Sar, disabling his ship in return. They returned Navaar, D'Nesh and Maras to Harrad-Sar, whose ship was left to limp home at low impulse. (ENT episode: "Bound")
It took their ship nearly a year to return home. The Orion sisters spent a good portion of the year punishing Harrad-Sar for the failure to capture Archer until they realized the failure was as much their fault as it was theirs. Eventually they all agreed that they had to work together to make it home alive. In 2164, Harrad-Sar acted as the Orion negotiator during talks with the Zankor Syndicate and Jofirek's syndicate to form an alliance to oppose the newly formed United Federation of Planets. (ENT - Rise of the Federation novel: Tower of Babel)
As part of their support for the Saurian tyrant Maltuvis, the Sisters sent Harrad-Sar to Sauria to serve as his personal advisor and contact to the Syndicate. In early 2166, after their plan to discredit Starfleet and drive the Federation toward isolationism failed, Maltuvis publicly put Harrad-Sar to death to punish the Sisters.
