Heidi Bowles was a female Human in Starfleet in the 24th century.

As of 2380, she held the rank of commander, and was commanding officer of Outpost 22 on the Romulan Neutral Zone. Bowles was the senior Starfleet officer to deal with Jianuk and the passengers of the Reman Free Vessel Vkruk when they arrived at the outpost requesting political asylum. Bowles remained suspicious of their sincerity, and that suspicion was proven correct when the Vkruk attempted to destroy the outpost. Because Bowles had kept her defenses on alert, Outpost 22 suffered only three causualties. (ST novel: Articles of the Federation)
