Helana Albrecht was a human female living in the 23rd century on Deneva. In 2267 she was Deneva's Deputy Governor, and rose to Governor following the death of her predecessor Newton Armitage during the neural parasite invasion of that year. (TOS novel: Provenance of Shadows)

In 2293, Albrecht spoke at James T. Kirk's memorial service in the grounds of Starfleet Academy, and spoke of Kirk's bravery in destroying the neural parasites and freeing her world. (TOS - Crucible novel: The Fire and the Rose)
