Henry Janeway was a human who lived during the 20th and 21st centuries on Earth. He was a distant ancestor of Starfleet Admiral Edward Janeway, and his daughters Kathryn and Phoebe.
In 2000, Janeway owned a bookstore and was opposed to the building of the Millennium Gate in the town of Portage Creek, Indiana as it meant he would have to close his bookstore to make room for the building of the gate. In late 2000 Janeway met Shannon O'Donnell, who convinced him to close the bookstore. The pair fell in love and later married, and had several children. In 2375, the crew of Voyager found a family photo from the 2050s of Henry and his family, and gave it as a gift to Kathryn Janeway. (VOY episode: "11:59").
