The Homestead Grays were a professional baseball team that played in Homestead, Pennsylvania (near Pittsburgh) in the early 20th century. It was part of the "Negro Leagues," before the racial integration of American baseball.
Legendary athlete Josh Gibson played for the Grays in the 1930s and 1940s. The glove he used during the 1930 season was displayed centuries later in the Pioneer Pub on Cestus III. (ST novel: Articles of the Federation)
