An Honorstone was a small jeweled award given to veteran warriors of the Klingon Empire and were gifted to those that had shown themselves to be skilled combatants. The prestige given by those awarded with an honorstone allowed the Klingon to be given a family line and land as further reward for their service. Such Klingons would never be found in low ranking menial positions such as being a server in a bar and those Klingons that possessed such items could only have acquired them by stealing an honorstone.
