A hopper is a small craft capable of atmospheric flight used by Starfleet and the Federation.

In 2373, several hoppers were used to move battlefield troops and to take wounded Starfleet personnel to the Decker Memorial Hospital for treatment. The hospital personnel and patients were later evacuated to Tanandra Bay on a hopper. (DS9 episode: "Nor the Battle to the Strong")

In 2376, several Starfleet hoppers were based at a Starfleet installation created to combat the threat of the parasites. (DS9 novel: Unity)
