Crewman Huff was a Starfleet security officer serving aboard the USS Enterprise, under the command of Captain James T. Kirk, in the late 2260s.

In 2268, Huff accompanied Captain Kirk's landing party aboard a shuttlecraft to the surface of the planet Anomaly. While he narrowly avoided being eaten by a plant, thanks to his friend Hevelin, he was later shot in the neck with an arrow fired by one of the planet's inhabitants. He later died while receiving care aboard the shuttlecraft. (TOS novel: Planet of Judgment)
