Humpback whales (Megaptera novaeangliae) are a type of Cetacean native to Earth.

In 1786, there were as many as a million Humpback whales, unfortunately years of over hunting eventually drove the species to extinction in the 21st century. However, thanks to the efforts of Admiral James T. Kirk and his crew, a pair of Humpbacks; George and Gracie were bought forward in time from 1986 to 2286 to reinstate the species in Earth's oceans.
