VulcanIDIC

The IDIC.

IDIC is a Federation Standard language acronym for the Vulcan philosophy of Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations. The Vulcan language name for this is Kol-Ut-Shan. (TOS episode: "Is There in Truth No Beauty?"; ENT episodes: "Awakening", "The Forge"; VOY episode: "Gravity")

Spock once cited the Vulcan culture of an alternate timeline, as evidenced by the Vulcan ship VHC Muroc's inferior design to that of concurrent Federation starship designs, as an illustration of the truth of the IDIC philosophy. (DTI novel: Forgotten History)
