The IKS Bloodspiller was a class IX starship, a K't'inga-class Klingon battle cruiser in Imperial Defense Force service in the 23rd century.

Service history and disposition[]

Under the command of Captain Kiltor in the early 2270s decade, Bloodspiller led the Steel Wing squadron, part of the White Flame task force. During Kiltor's command, the ship participated in ambushing a Federation convoy. During one raid, a hit to the bridge killed most of the bridge crew, leaving helmsman Krolk sutai-Reshtarc to assume command.

On reference stardate 2/1602.09 Kuge vestai-Reshtarc joined the ship's crew as chief weapons officer. When Captain Krolk transferred to the IKS Waraxe, he ensured that Kuge assumed command of Bloodspiller. By this time, the ship's crew was considered among the finest, most experienced, and most highly trained in the fleet. (FASA RPG module: The White Flame Starship Combat Scenario Pack)

On reference stardate 2/1711.17, Bloodspiller participated in a raid in Federation space against three starships led by the Baker-class USS Richardson and USS Taylor, soon joined by reinforcements led by the USS Intrepid. The damaged Bloodspiller and the other Klingon ships eventually retreated under heavy fire using the hul fal tora'n maneuver, ending the Battle of Diogenes. (FASA RPG module: The White Flame Starship Combat Scenario Pack mission: Operation Breakthrough)

Separated from the rest of their task force, the Steel Wing squadron was forced to take a different route home. The squadron underwent repairs in the Ayirn system, with Bloodspiller and IKS Defender fully operational within a day or two. After IKS Hunter's repairs were completed a few days later, the squad departed together at warp nine en route to Klingon territory. However, five minutes before they reached the border, they were intercepted by the Chandley-class frigate USS East Anglia. Bloodspiller and her sister ships eventually made it across the border. (FASA RPG module: The White Flame Starship Combat Scenario Pack mission: Reprisal)

In retaliation for the Imperial Klingon States attacking the White Flame's Red Wing squadron, Captain Kuge led Bloodspiller to strafe New Paradise, burning down several cities. The White Flame was rewarded with reassignment to the Klingon-Romulan border. But when Kuge later attacked a neutral planet in the Triangle, Bloodspiller's Steel Wing was relegated to garrison duty, a dead-end posting. (FASA RPG module: The White Flame Starship Combat Scenario Pack)

En route to the new assignment, Bloodspiller was ambushed four parsecs from K'Karr by the ChR Ramelia. Bloodspiller was destroyed with a single shot on reference stardate 2/1712.02. (FASA RPG module: The White Flame Starship Combat Scenario Pack mission: "Hero's Welcome")

In the aftermath, IKS Seeker was sent to replace Bloodspiller in the Steel Wing, and Admiral Klemm zantai-Pallara began a retaliatory strike deep inside Romulan space. (FASA RPG module: The White Flame Starship Combat Scenario Pack mission: "Operation Eradicate")
