The IKS D'k Tahg was a D7 class Klingon battle cruiser starship in Imperial Klingon Defense Force service in the 23rd century, operational in the mid-2270s captained by Commander Kran.

In late 2266, the D'k Tahg was ordered to perform battle simulations near the Klingon Neutral Zone. During the simulations, Kran was challenged for command by Klak and was killed. Klak's first order as commander was to take the D'k'tahg into Federation space and head to System 7348 to negotiate a deal with the Orions.

Shortly after entering the system, the D'k Tahg was intercepted by the USS Enterprise. After a brief engagement the D'k'tahg was forced to leave the system. Koloth, currently second officer, used this as an opportunity to kill Klak and assume command of the D'k'tahg for himself. (TOS novel: Killing Blow)

Several weeks later, the D'k Tahg was sent on a mission to obtain the dilithium deposits located on a planet orbitted by the decommissioned Starbase 42. On arrival boarding parties were sent over and they fought a large security detachment from the Enterprise. After losing the battle, the D'k'tahg was escorted back to Klingon space after losing the battle for Starbase 42 and returned to Qo'noS for shore leave. (TOS novel: River of Blood)

This vessel was out of service by the 24th century, when the name was passed on to the IKV Daqtagh. (TNG video game: Starfleet Command III)
