Registry: IKC-55342
Affiliation: Klingon Defense Force
Status: active (2368)

The IKS Hegh'ta (IKC-55342) was a K'vort-class bird-of-prey in service to the Klingon Defense Force in the late 24th century. Translated from the Klingon language, the ship's name means "continuing death" or "everlasting death". (Star Trek Encyclopedia; ST:CCG: Premiere, ST roleplay module: Starships)

In the 2360s, the Hegh'ta was under the command of Captain Kurn. During Kurn's service aboard, the Hegh'ta once equipped photon torpedoes with shield generators and used them as mines to thwart an enemy. In 2376, Kurn (now known as Rodek) remembered the details of this engagement, despite his memories as Kurn being blocked. (GKN novel: Honor Bound)

During the Klingon Civil War of 2367-2368, the Hegh'ta fought on the side of forces loyal to Gowron. (TNG episodes: "Redemption, Part I", "Redemption, Part II")
