The IKS Ning'tao was a K'vort-class Klingon bird-of-prey starship in service in the 24th century. By the mid-2370s, the Ning'tao was commanded by Captain Lurkan.

In 2375, the Ning'tao was one of five Klingon vessels which were assigned to General Martok's strike force against Trelka V. During the strike, the Ning'tao managed to draw two Cardassian cruisers away from the planet, which allowed the rest of the force to attack the base.

Following the battle, Kor assumed command of the Ning'tao and, along with six volunteers, left the retreating strike force to attempt and engage a fleet of 10 Jem'Hadar fighters and buy time for the fleet until they could reach Starfleet reinforcements. (DS9 episode: "Once More Unto the Breach")

The Ning'tao was presumed destroyed fending off the Jem'Hadar ships and became the subject of legend. (ST CCG: The Trouble with Tribbles)
