The IRW Belak was a Romulan D'deridex-class battle cruiser in service to the Romulan Star Empire's Romulan Star Navy in the late 24th century. This starship was named after the star Belak. In 2371, the Tal Shiar assumed responsibility of the Belak for a planned offensive against the Dominion.

In late 2371, the Belak's cloaking device was modified to prevent detection by Dominion sensors when traveling at speeds under warp factor 6. These modifications were completed at Orias III. (CCG reference: The Dominion, CCG reference: Second Edition)

Following the completion of the modifications, the Belak became part of the joint Tal Shiar-Obsidian Order task force that entered the Gamma Quadrant and launched an attack on the Founder's homeworld. In the subsequent battle, the Belak lost main power, and was eventually destroyed by the Jem'Hadar. (DS9 episode: "The Die is Cast")
