The RIS Devoras (IRC-1911) was a Romulan D'deridex-class battlecruiser (or heavy cruiser) in service to the Romulan Star Navy in the 24th century. Devoras was the flagship of Admiral Mendak. (ST reference: Star Trek Encyclopedia, , CCG reference: Premiere, Decipher RPG module: Starships)
In 2367, under the command of Admiral Mendak, the Devoras rendezvoused with the USS Enterprise-D to receive Federation ambassador T'Pel for a diplomatic mission. Unknown to the Enterprise crew, T'Pel was actually an operative named Subcommander Selok, and the Devoras was assigned to transport her home, as well as creating a "transporter accident" that "killed" T'Pel.
When the deception was eventually discovered, the Enterprise intercepted the Devoras near the Romulan Neutral Zone, but was forced to withdraw when a second warbird arrived. (TNG episode: "Data's Day")
The Devoras was still in active service around the later part of the 2370s decade. (TNG video games: Armada II, Starfleet Command III)
- No final fate is established for this vessel as its name was randomly selected for a D'deridex-class vessel by the game software, with different possible outcomes, in its most recent game appearances. The "RIS" registry prefix originates in the SFC III game. The type is from the TNG episode: "Contagion" (battlecruiser) or from the book Starships (battleship).
