In the Kelvin timeline, the IRW Haakona was a 23rd century Romulan Empire starship, a D'valek-class warbird in Romulan Imperial Fleet service in the 2260s decade.
Service history and disposition[]
The Haakona was commanded by Commander Tallus. In the year 2263, the Haakona intercepted the Federation Aegis-class starship USS Endeavour on the Romulan border. Tallus recognised the Endeavour and Captain James T. Kirk. At the time, Romulus was under attack from a Borg sphere. Kirk surrendered the Endeavour and itself to the Romulan authorities in return for the chance to stop the Borg Collective. Tallus agreed and the Haakona escorted the Endeavour to Romulus, where the Borg assault was underway. (TOS - Boldly Go comic: "Issue 4")
