The IRW Kytonis was a Mogai-class warbird in the Romulan Imperial Fleet in the late 24th century. Alongside the IRW Dekkona and the IRW Terrinex, she was one of the wing leaders of Romulan Star Empire's Fifth Fleet. (ST - Typhon Pact novel: Zero Sum Game)

In August 2382, the Kytonis and the Terrinex were operating out of the Inasa system in support of the Dekkona. They participated in an attempt by Dekkona Commander Marius to lure the Federation starship USS Aventine from the Breen-Federation border by transmitting a false distress signal from the civilian freighter SS Tullahoma. When the Aventine reached the transmission origin near the Black Cluster, all three warbirds decloaked, and Commander Marius issued an ultimatum to Aventine Captain Ezri Dax to surrender her ship or be destroyed. The Kytonis and her sister ships were caught unprepared when three Qang-class heavy cruisers and two Negh'Var-class battleships also decloaked, surrounding the Romulan fleet and allowing the Aventine to return to her mission along the Breen border.
