The IRW Tomed was the Ivarix-class flagship of the Romulan Imperial Fleet in the early 24th century. It was commanded by Fleet Admiral Aventeer Vokar. Tomed carried numerous shuttles, including the Liss Riehn and Liss Ornahj.

Memories of the Tomed tend to be less than pleasant due to the eponymously named Tomed Incident which led to the Romulans sealing their borders for years. History records that Vokar led the Tomed on a rogue attack into the Foxtrot sector, however in truth this was the result of sabotage by Starfleet Intelligence as part of a plot to avoid all-out war with the Romulans (TLE novel: Serpents Among the Ruins).
