In the mirror universe, the ISS Contemptible (NCC-1792) was a Constitution-class (Enterprise-subclass) heavy cruiser starship in the service of the Terran Empire's Imperial Starfleet in the early 2290s.

When the starships ISS Excelsior and ISS Enterprise-A went rogue, the Contemptible was part of a last ditch effort to contain the mutinous vessels before they entered the Janus Ultima vortex. After an Imperial armada that included the ISS Malevolent and ISS Betrayer failed to stop the vessels, the Contemptible arrived on scene, but was destroyed by the vessels' fighter escorts. The Contemptible appeared during the "Vortex" mission of Shattered Universe. This ship's arrival was triggered by the destruction of the previous four capital ships, and the vessel had to be destroyed in order to continue with the mission.
