In the mirror universe, ISS Imperator was a prototype four-warp nacelled Imperator-class dreadnought starship of the Terran Empire's Starfleet. The most powerful warship built by the Terran Empire, the Imperator was the first and last of ship its class, as rebel forces attacked the Antares shipyards shortly after the ship's launch. It had been intended as the new flagship, but was deemed "too big and too ugly" by the Emperor.

In 2155, the Imperator was under the command of Captain A.G. Robinson, and was one of seven ships that attempted to defend Earth from an attack by Empress Hoshi Sato aboard the USS Defiant. The Imperator was crippled in the battle, and the crew subsequently pledged their loyalty to Empress Sato. The ship was later part of the fleet sent to find Empress Sato after she was kidnapped by rebel forces. (ENT novel: Age of the Empress)
