Icarus IV was a comet which passed near the Romulan Neutral Zone in 2266.

In this year, the comet was passed by the ChR Gal Gath'thong during the Battle of Icarus IV and revealed their position to the crew of the USS Enterprise following an attack on several Earth outposts. (TOS episode: "Balance of Terror"; ST:CCG; ST novel: The Return)
