For the primary universe counterpart, see Iliad.

In one permutation of the mirror universe in which the Terran Empire survived well into the 24th century, the Iliad was an ancient Terran epic poem written by the poet Homer in the 8th century BC.

In 2367, the Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the primary universe examined the Iliad using the ISS Enterprise-D's literary database. It was largely similar to its primary universe counterpart. However, in the scene in which King Priam of Troy begged Achilles to return his son Hector's body to him for burial, Achilles killed him in cold blood rather than returning the body and allowing the funeral to take place. (TNG novel: Dark Mirror)
