In 2269, after the Talin incident, Starfleet Command issued related statements that called for all Starfleet personnel to learn from the tragic mistakes that engulfed Talin IV and that they had to prove to the citizens of the Federation that the actions of a handful of renegades did not reflect upon the exemplary training of Starfleet.
