Inge Eiger (also known as Alice Eiger) was a female human engineering officer in Starfleet in the 24th century.

Biography[]

As of 2372, she held the rank of ensign and was assigned as an engineer to the newly launched USS Enterprise-E under chief engineer Geordi La Forge. In that year, during a staff meeting, she became the target of La Forge's emotional rage when he was required to have his VISOR replaced with an occular implant. (TNG - Slings and Arrows eBook: The Insolence of Office)

By the following year, she was promoted to full lieutenant. She was one of the first Enterprise crewmembers to be assimilated when the Borg infiltrated the ship after travelling back in time to 2063 to prevent Earth's first contact with the Vulcans. She was killed, when Captain Jean-Luc Picard destroyed the Borg Queen and thus deactivated all drones aboard the Enterprise. (TNG movie: First Contact)

Her body, along with the bodies of all the other assimilated Enterprise crew members were turned over to the Borg Sciences unit for study and eventual dismemberment so that they could be returned to their families. (TNG - Section 31 novel: Rogue)
