Introduction
Edit
One year ago IDW's Star Trek comics line launched with Star Trek: The Next Generation - The Space Between, a series of six stand-alone issues. Now, prepare for the latest voyage of the Enterprise as the creative team that brought you Klingons: Blood Will Tell tackles an all-new Star Trek: TNG mini-series.
Overview
Edit
The miniseries was first announced in IDW’s behind-the-scenes book Focus on... Star Trek, tentatively titled House Call. A later interview confirmed the new title and reduction of issues from the originally announced six down to five.
The series was a sequential story in five parts, with an on-going mystery which was solved in the final issues. The series was set towards the end of the fifth season of the TNG television series. Each issue also told it's own largely stand alone story which the writers used to explore the relationships and roles of main TNG characters.

The third cover for each issue was a more limited availability retail incentive cover featuring Corroney's cover artwork without titles. The final issue in the series had just one cover, by David Messina.

German translation
Edit
For the German release of this series the title was changed to Tor Zur Apokalypse, which translates to Gateway to the Apocalypse, as the original English title did not have the same meaning once translated. The German omnibus, available in paperback or hardcover, published by Cross Cult featured new art by David Messina.[1]
