Intraoperative magnetic resonance imaging (or iMRI) is a medical process in which magnetic fields are used to provide a real-time image of the brain during surgical procedures.
Doctor Idit Kahayn used an iMRI prior to beginning a surgical procedure on an imprisoned Julian Bashir, though in actuality, she used this as a cover in order to inject a dye into Bashir's system, and postpone the procedure. (SCE eBook: Wounds, Book 2)
