The Janitza class, or Assault-class, were assault vessels used by the Bajorans in the 24th century. During the Occupation, the Cardassians seized the majority of them, although the Resistance was able to use some for transport. Later, after the Occupation ended, the Janitza-class were the primary ships of the Bajoran Militia. In 2370, in his invasion of Deep Space 9, General Krim Aldos had his troops transported to the station in several ships of this class.
