Japori II was the second planet in the Japori system which sustained a population in the 2370s and 2380s.

Prior to 2371, Retaya, a Flaxian assassin, was a suspect in murdering Dekora Assan on Japori II. (DS9 episode: "Improbable Cause")

During the Borg Invasion of 2381, over seven thousand Borg cubes launched a simultaneous attack on the Alpha and Beta Quadrants from the Azure Nebula; while briefing Federation President Nanietta Bacco on their losses, Raisa Shostakova estimated that Japori II was likely to be attacked within four hours.
