The Jenatris Corridor is a narrow region of space running through the former Cardassian DMZ filled with small nebulae, subspace anomalies, and plasma storms. Due to sensors and communications not working well there, it is considered a hazard. These qualities make it attractive to pirates and smugglers wishing to hide out between Federation and Cardassian space.
