Jhamel was an Aenar woman.

In 2154, Jhamel's brother Gareb was kidapped by the Romulans and used to operate a telepresence unit. Jhamel was then recruited by Shran and Jonathan Archer to use a telepresence unit to stop the Romulans. She was able to use the unit to contact her brother and he subsequently destroyed the drone-ships he was operating. Unfortunately, Valdore executed him and Jhamel felt Gareb die. (ENT episode: "The Aenar")

In 2155, Shran joined Jhamel's shelthreth group in place of Theras, mating him with Vishri and Shenar as well. Shran then left his shelthreth behind temporarily when he rejoined the Imperial Guard with Jhamel's blessing. (ENT novel: Beneath the Raptor's Wing)
