Jil Barnak was an Atrean male in Starfleet during the 24th century.
As a young man, he was married to Sindea Barnak. Sindea died sometime prior to 2336, a few months into their marriage, of a sudden illness. Following her death, Barnak resigned himself to a solitary life serving in Starfleet. (SCE eBooks: Wildfire)
As of 2376, Barnak held the rank of lieutenant, and served as chief engineer aboard the USS da Vinci. (SCE eBook: The Belly of the Beast)
He was killed at Galvan VI later that year, sacrificing himself during an emergency ejection of the warp core. He was posthumously awarded the Kragite Order of Heroism for his quick and selfless actions. (SCE eBooks: Wildfire)
