Johannes Brahms (May 7, 1833 – April 3, 1897) was a human who lived on Earth during the 19th century. Born in what would later become Germany, Brahms became one of the most notable composers of music during his time period.

In the 23rd century, it was discovered that Brahms was in fact one of the identities of the immortal being Flint, when the crew of the USS Enterprise encountered him on Holberg 917G. (TOS novel: Requiem for Methuselah)

In 2267 Captain James T. Kirk listened to a lullabye written by Johannes Brahms to relax while in his quarters. (TOS novel: Web of the Romulans)

Flint recalled that Johannes Brahms’ patron Robert Schumann described the musician as one “who reveals his mastery, not in a gradual unfolding, but like Athena springing fully-formed from the head of Zeus.” (TOS novel: The Cry of the Onlies)
