John Christopher was a Human who lived on Earth during the mid-20th century. Christopher was a Captain in the United States Air Force, and the father of astronaut Shaun Geoffrey Christopher.
When the USS Enterprise was thrown back in time, Captain Christopher was sent in an F-104 Starfighter to intercept what the Enterprise considered by the United States Air Force to be a large UFO. (TOS episode: "Tomorrow is Yesterday")
