John Keats (31 October 1795 – 23 February 1821) was a male human and noted poet of the 19th century.
Unknown at the time, Keats was inspired by an alien entity, Onaya, who fed on his neural energy and led him to a premature death. (DS9episode: "The Muse")
In 2267, James T. Kirk quoted a portion of the poem “The Second Coming” by Keats: “Somewhere ... a shape with lion body and the head of a man is moving its slow thighs. ... And what rough beast, its hour come round at last, slouches toward Bethlehem to be born.” (TOSnovel: The Joy Machine)
